The last 2 weeks has been a blur.
I am sitting here at my kitchen table. In our new house. In North Austin. Watching Henry play in the backyard. And I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I GOT HERE!
Ok, I have somewhat of an idea. It was through the help of our amazing friends. They are seriously seriously great. They showed up at our apartment 2 weeks ago, helped us move out, moved everything into the new place, and even brought donuts and helped me unpack. I don’t know what we would have done without them.
Unfortunately, the day after we got all of our stuff into the house, life picked up some speed. I mean, it went from zero to sixty in a matter of hours. Josh had a crazy stressful 6 days in a row at work, school started kicking my butt, a got a 2 day stomach virus, I was still trying to unpack, and THEN Josh’s dad came into town for Father’s Day.
I am so grateful that this week has been quite a bit more controlled, because I truly felt like I was losing it last week. Now that things are calm for like five minutes, I can officially say that I love our house and our neighborhood and I especially love the people we share this area with. We had a small impromptu cook-out last night for the basketball game, and my heart was just jumping for joy that we can do things like that without asking people to drive a half hour to see us.
Here are some photos from the crazy past few weeks. Amid the messiness of life and all its rough edges, I am so very grateful.

I finally got around to painting an old storage shelf we had. It looks pretty in our new kitchen.

If I can successfully finish all 938474 of my school assignments before the class ends next week, I’ll be in great shape to actually start having a super duper great Summer. Cheers!!
