I love that as much time as we spend in downtown Portland, Josh and I still act like total tourists. I am still amazed when I see the city lights at night and drinking coffee at the local shops makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I also can’t help but gawk at the weirdness that exists in every neighborhood here. Weird people, weird traditions, weird shops and restaurants…really you’ll never understand until you come see it for yourself.
I feel so blessed to live in such a diverse part of America, and that my hubby works long hours so I can stick with only working part time.
We’ve had some really great times lately with wonderful people. Friday night we ate our weight in chinese food at PF Changs and then went to see Black Swan, where I almost threw all my food up. That movie is disturbing to say the least. I also made my first twice baked potatoes this week, which turned out almost as good as when Josh’s mom makes them. Man oh man…It’s the little things in life that get me.
Like when the barista makes pretty designs in my hot chocolate.
And when Henry falls in the Willamette River and has to be rescued by Josh.
And especially when God shows off his cloud making skills.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone. Come visit anytime!
